My favorite restaurant – Angelo Rosso

If you want to have dinner or lunch in a trendy and cosy Italian restaurant where you feel at home and eat the best Italian dishes, I recommend Angelo Rosso in Sint-Truiden.

The move out of the city centre of Sint-Truiden towards the nice small village of Brustem gave some new wings to this angel.

Filippo and Roberta welcome you in a beautiful setting where you feel at home putting your first step in the door. They renovated an old mansion and made it an Italian heaven where angels cook.

I like everything about Angelo Rosso. The food, of course, the interior although the terrace is also fantastic in summer, the service and the extremely friendly owners and personnel. And not to forget the Italian wines…

You can eat à la carte but they also have a menu and some nice suggestions. If there is anything on the menu you do not like, don’t hesitate to mention and Roberta will be pleased to prepare an alternative for you.

My favorite dish is the original Burrata from Puglia. It is a combination of mozzarella and cream which makes the cheese very creamy and soft. It is the ideal dish to start a nice dinner on a bright Italian summer night. Combine it with one of Filippo’s world class Italian wines and you will feel like in heaven at Angelo Rosso.

  1. I really like Gilles blog about food. His langues use is amazing. It’s like he rewrite every sentence a hundred times again until he find the perfect one. There is a lot of variation in sentence structure and word choice and I couldn’t find one grammar error or misspelling. He takes a lot of time in making his blog the best one ever and I truly like the way he does this. The next thing I’m in love with on this blog are the images. On every article and in every paragraph he puts in a beautiful, high quality picture. There is even a picture from Gilles Gumienny himself on the about me page. With a these pictures combine you get a really nice view about what you are reading. When you read his blog you can feel his personal thoughts and feelings. I love that he doesn’t just give us some facts, but that he makes his blog his own personal treasure. The only thing somebody could complain about in this blog is his sources use. He didn’t give us a source to the website of the restaurant and he didn’t even write the hyperlinks on his article about immigration food. I think that if he uses his sources correctly in the future he will become one of the best bloggers human kind has ever seen.
